Mooli -interview of Kristina Smith-

Mooli - Save You-

Mooli

Mooli is a band from the kent town of Maidstone.
Their first release was the ' One Design' Ep in 2005 on Mooli Music, and featured original singer Clea Llewellyn who's now working on her own.
The Ep consisted of the tracks ' One Design' ' Save you' ' Awaken' and ' Underneath the same sun'.
Despite having no marketing budget for the release, the band managed to get the attention of MTV's producers who began showing their video for the song ' save you' directed by Stephen Fullagher, a long time friend of the band, and national radio play in both Ireland and the UK, after famously spurning the advances of a radio plugger who told them they would never get any radio play without his help.
The title track ' One design' caught the attention of former Dido manager Seven Webster who managed to license the track to several compilations, and earn the band a following amongst lovers of downtempo chilled electronica.

The band's debut album ' Concubine' was produced by Ben Copland, and featured two of the tracks from the Ep, ' One Design' and ' Underneath the same sun' together with nine previously unheard tracks. This 1st album has been released on December 2007. Few months later, the singer Clea has decided to leave the band to live her own experience as a solo artist.Clea's myspace page.

Since that day, Ben has decided to keep on with the band and to go in search of a new singer. He has worked with several female singers included his friend Natalie Ross. After several audition, he finally found THE gem! The singer of Mooli is now Kristina Smith and the music has change a little bit.

The band is now working on new songs and is getting ready to release a 2nd album in the next year.....

You can have a listen to their music on their myspace and on their Soundcloud  profil.

Jersey Budd ~ Bright Soul

Jersey Budd ~ Shotgun Times

My favorite song ever from Jersey...

Jersey Budd ~ Visions of You

Jersey Budd

To begin that blog I will take the artist who's probably one of the most important for me!!!!

He's a very talented and bright artist who is self-made. He is his own writer/composer (except for 2 songs on his album, written with his friend and keyboard player Peter Oag).
He was first "signed" on banstocks where his fans have invested in him and helped him to released his first album "Wonderland". (Jersey's bandstoks profile)
Jersey is from the town of Leicester in the East Midlands where the band Kasabian is from. Kasabian's singer, Tom Meighan, had put his voice on the backing vocals of Jersey's 1st single She came back
Jersey Budd had been support artist several times for several kind of artists ( John Martyn, The Riffles, JET, Twisted Wheel, Kasabian, Amy Macdonald,Ocena Colour Scene, Will Young, James Morrison...)
The last record deal of Jersey was for the Leicester City Football Club.
The club asked him to record the new terrace anthem, which he did and chose the song When You'Re Smiling".
He's actually preparing and recording his second album which promise to be even more powerful and brilliant than the first one.....
